Our client based in the Havant area is looking to recruit a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wire Locking / Inspection Technician to join their team.

As a Wire Locking / Inspection Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and quality of our aerospace products through meticulous inspection and wire locking operations. Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards will be instrumental in our overall quality assurance process.

Hours:

Monday-Thursday 06:30-15:00

Friday 06:30-11:30

Overtime over 37 hours and Saturdays x1.5, Sundays and Bank holidays x2

Key Responsibilities:

Paperwork Verification:

  • Conduct visual checks of all paperwork to confirm the accuracy of Serial, identification, and part numbers.
  • Perform detailed inspections of paperwork to ensure records are complete and within specified limits.

Visual Inspection:

  • Inspect parts visually for any damage caused or found during operations.
  • Liaise with the quality department to determine the acceptability of identified issues.

Wire Locking Operations:

  • Execute wire locking operations in accordance with engineering drawings and operating procedures.

Documentation:

  • Complete relevant sections of paperwork to confirm that the required work has been carried out accurately.

Required/Preferred Experience:

  • Previous experience in inspection roles, demonstrating a keen eye for detail.
  • History of working with engineering drawings and operating procedures.
  • Proficient use of basic hand tools such as pliers, snips, and etching pens.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field would be advantageous.

This position requires the use of information or access to hardware subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be able to comply with this requirement.
