Healthcare Assistant - Outpatients

Healthcare Assistant | Outpatients | Full time | 37.5 hours per week | Competitive salary dependent on experience | Sutton

Spire St Anthony's Hospital are looking to recruit an experienced Healthcare Assistant to join our fantastic Outpatients team on a permanent and full time basis.

Founded in 1904, Spire St Anthony's Hospital delivers care from skilled and dedicated staff working together with leading medical practitioners. With a recent 27m development investment we provide very high quality healthcare to patients around Sutton, Epsom, Surrey and South London. We offer a different approach to private healthcare offering a variety of specialist treatments across 6 theatres, a Physiotherapy Department with Hydrotherapy Pool and offer level 2 and 3 critical care.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • To assist the multi-disciplinary team to provide exemplary care in the Outpatients (OPD) Department.
  • The post holder will be responsible for supporting the efficient and safe functioning of the Pre-operative assessment Mini Clinic service ensuring safe and effective pre-operative care.
  • Reporting to the Pre-Operative Assessment Lead/Manager the post holder is responsible for escalation of any patient safety concerns.
  • The post holder will be able to demonstrate competency in key clinical skills and ensure patient safety is priority.

Who we're looking for:

  • You will need to have experience working as a HCA within a hospital setting
  • Experience working in a Pre-Assessment setting is desirable but not essential
  • Phlebotomy and ECG experience is desirable but not essential
  • Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Willing to learn
