Salary: £25,500 per annum (£20,675 per annum pro-rata)

This Residential Support Worker role guides a dedicated team through shifts with expertise and empathy. Their proactive approach to risk management, safeguards our young people's wellbeing allowing us to deliver the highest quality of care. With a commitment to continuous improvement, they'll ensure the wellbeing of our children and young people is prioritised by delivering personalised care, guidance and advocacy.

About the service
This is a fun and welcoming home and you will be joining a committed and ambitious team, led by a manager who really wants to see you develop and reach your potential
Park House was developed in partnership between Action for Children and Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council in 2012 and is a three-bedroom bungalow offering children and teenagers with disabilities short-term, planned residential breaks where the children can explore, make friends, access new opportunities and learn new life skills, all with the help from the staff team. Park House is purpose-built property in the heart of Port Talbot community close to beautiful Aberavon beach.
How you'll help to create brighter futures
- Provide lead case/care planning management, including assessing, reviewing and managing risk.
- Co-ordinating responsibilities within the service, with multi agency and producing family information, including analysis and written reports.
- Attendance at professional meetings including reviews, court work etc.
- Lead shifts with the primary aim of the provision of a high-quality service.
- Supervise and guide staff as required, in accordance with Action for Children policies and procedures.
- Lead by example with the application of Action for Children's policy procedures and professional practice standards and in line with registration requirements
Let's talk about you
Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We're looking for someone with a 'can do' attitude to join our team. Ideally you'll have:
- Experience of leading Shifts in a Care setting
- Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (or recognised equivalent).
- Experience and training in safeguarding
- An innovative and creative approach to problem solving
- Experience of developing tailored care plans
- The ability to create a safe and fun environment for both staff and children in the home and in the community
