My client is a prestigious and leading law firm based in Manchester currently looking for a Legal Operations Manager to lead, coach and mentor a team of legal professionals and operational support staff.

With a rich history and a commitment to excellence, the firm provide exceptional legal services to the firms clients across motor offence cases. They pride themselves on our collaborative and inclusive work environment, where talented professionals can thrive and contribute to the firms ongoing success.

This role is fully office based full time - Monday to Friday 8am-5pm with a flexible 1-hour lunch break

Required experience

  • You will be required to have excellent people management skills in a leadership role within a law firm
  • Excellent people management skills with experience of recruiting, onboarding, training, and performance management
  • A team player and role model to establish a positive team culture, build strong relationships, promote effective communication, and facilitate collaboration and success

Duties include 

  • Set clear objectives/KPIs for team, regularly review and monitor performance, provide guidance and support to achieve both business and individual objectives;
  • Monitor and evaluate performance; provide feedback through regular one-to-ones;
  • Support the training and development plans for the team to enhance their competencies; and
  • Regularly review talent and capability in the team to manage the talent pipeline; and
  • Co-ordinate and prioritise activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately within established deadlines and as per firm policies and procedures;
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks, implementing controls and protocols in line with operational processes
