Our global engineering client based in Kintore is looking to add a Planner/Scheduler to their growing team in Kintore. This is a 6 month contract position.

As the Planner/Scheduler, you will be a key team member working within Production. Tasks will consist of but not limited to:

Short horizon planning, Work pack creation, Supply chain expediting, assembly scheduling, shop floor interface, and revenue forecasting.

You must possess excellent communication and coordination skills and have a high attention to detail ensuring the delivery of goods through production, to support the site in maximising OTIF and client service. Good IT and analytical skills are essential, including high numerical capabilities to ensure the delivery of our key business objectives.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Continually develop the Assembly scheduling process to maximize OTIF potential at this critical milestone. You will assess risk to orders and identify options and find solutions to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Utilise MRP to its full advantage to ensure schedule integrity.
  • Create work packs for the shop floor to meet the needs of the business. This will include but may not be limited to: Job traveller copy, drawing copy, and any current Assembly support sheets required.
  • Communicate efficiently and promptly with the shop floor, as you will be the direct interface for your product category.
  • You will request cost rolls when required, on all parts within Assembly.
  • You will have the vision to own short planning horizons and expedite inspection / supply chain proactively to ensure you have full availability of a BoM.
  • You will be a key in coordinating revenue forecast and will ensure you feedback status on a daily / weekly and monthly basis to measure against your commitments.
  • You will absorb priorities and identify options to meet client needs, while analysing the impact of schedule changes both to other customer orders and financially. You will ensure these priorities are handled effectively and quickly.
  • You will ensure any impacts to deliveries are fed back to Project Planners via OMEGA dates, as well as verbally.
  • You will join all relevant production meetings and lead conversation on schedule adherence.
  • You will adhere to all agreed KPI s in line with the requirements of your role.
  • You will have the ability to communicate at all levels, inclusive of Directors.
  • Any other duties that may be required to commensurate with the grade of the job.

Hours Of Work

37.5 hours - Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm

Hourly rate is £14.65/hour
