Job Purpose: 

To work under the directive of the Specialist Preschool Leader, to support in operation of the Specialist Preschool 

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Support each child holistically  

Ensure the individual needs of each child are met including those with complex additional learning needs.

Take a person-centred approach with the children showing that you value and respect their views and needs.

Assist the playgroup leader in all duties, including observation, assessment and planning and review regularly.  

Responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of all children in the setting. 

Contribute to and deliver strategies towards the objectives within the multi-agency plan for the children.

Contribute to the overall aims and ethos of the playgroup.
