  • Facilitate best in class adoption of taxtechnology including generative AI tools, GMT technology tools androbotic process automation Support onday to day tax compliance requirements across a range of taxes,with a focus on UK CT filings Assist theHead of Tax Reporting during the reporting cycle Develop anunderstanding of the business and Finance Operations function toensure a collaborative approach to tax compliance Support ontax compliance process including Global Minimum Taxcompliance Have acontinuous improvement mindset to tax operations and operationalprocesses particularly around Tax Technology and its relevance toBAE Review& monitor tax compliance filing and paymentobligations Support ontax compliance process implementation andchanges Ensurecompliance with tax governance requirements
  • Activelymanage CPD, ensuring a good breadth of technical and powerskills
  • Support the Senior Accounting Officercertification across the taxes

Your skills andexperiences:

Essential:

  • Required expertise in tax complianceacross a range of taxes with knowledge of tax compliance filingsand payment requirements Familiarity with using technology tooptimise processes
  • Backgroundin tax reporting under IFRS Proficiency in liaising with taxauthorities and senior stakeholders Experienceworking in an in-house tax team or in a professional tax servicesfirm Externaltax network required as a means to stay up to date as abest-in-classadvisor

The Head Office Taxteam:

Reportingto a Senior Tax Manager, the role of the Tax Manager is pivotal toboth the tax team and to the broader organisation. You will beworking within the Tax Capability Centre as a tax generalistfocusing on UK corporation tax but also to include internationalcorporation tax management, RDEC, UK and overseas VAT and customsactivity. You will gain involvement in the delivery of processimprovements as part of a wider finance modernisation programme andsignificant changes in the tax landscape.
