Special Needs Teaching Assistant

1:1 Learning Support Assistant needed for SEND School.

Are you an experienced LSA looking for a new challenge? Do you want the opportunity to enrich the lives of children with Special Needs?

The school is based local to Lichfield and offers an alternative curriculum to students aged 11-18 who are unable to attend mainstream education.

The school is desperately seeking a positive, enthusiastic LSA to start in immediately on a long term supply basis. Working with students who have autism, ASD, ADHD and display challenging behaviour so exceptional behaviour management skills are a must.

The role will include:

  • Assisting the teacher with classroom preparation
  • Work with pupil who requires additional support
  • Leading group work
  • Helping the class teacher with pupil observations
  • Providing personal care for students
