We are looking for an inspiring Humanities Teacher to join our school in  in Sherrardswood School, Lockleys Welwyn, Hertfordshire AL6 0BJ About Sherrardswood

Contract Type: Part -Time @ 0.60 FTE, Permanent

Salary: 40k per annum ( Full Time Equivalent )

Start Date: September 2024

This role is suitable for an ambitious NQT looking to demonstrate a talent for teaching History and Geography . The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering stimulating and engaging lessons Ensuring continuity, progression and cohesiveness in all aspects of teachingSetting homework regularly, in accordance with the school homework policySetting high expectations for all students in order to deepen knowledge, understanding and to maximise their achievementAssessing the students’ work systematically, using the results to inform future planning, teaching and curricular developmentAbout you

We are looking for someone who has:

A relevant degree in History or Geography.

Qualified Teacher Status [QTS].Ability to teach GCSE and A Levels.Evidence of high pupil achievement. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.A specialism in History, or a relevant field. Experience in teaching .The ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
