Energetic and skilled estate gardener sought to join small team at historic Sezincote (www.sezincote.co.uk).

Responsibilities include all aspects of estate maintenance and gardening to high horticultural standards. This will include maintaining mixed borders, weed control, pruning, planting etc.

Experience using mowing equipment and strimmers is essential. experience operating and maintaining a wide range of garden machinery as well as chainsaw and sprayer (PA1 & PA6) certificates desirable.

We are looking for someone with:

A “can do” attitude: a self-motivated, positive, flexible approach to work, a strong work ethic and a trustworthy character. Focus on detail, productivity, and doing each job to the highest standard. Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and following health and safety practices. Presentable and personable character, representing Sezincote in a positive way when interacting with guests and visitors. Willingness to work both with the team and alone. To be physically fit for all the inclines in the garden as you will be in your feet all day .  RHS level 2. 3 to 4 years experience. Common sense and a full driving license. 

Hours

8am – 5.30pm in the Summer; 8am – 4pm in the Winter. Some flexibility required. Watering duties may apply in summer months.

Package

£35,000 per annum Pension scheme  24 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays Live out position
