About the Role:

We are currently seeking a Financial Consolidation Analyst to join our Finance Team in Greenford, West London. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing consolidated accounting information for one of our key brands. This includes quarterly management accounts, year-end statutory accounts, financial plans, and overseeing the development of reporting spreadsheets. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the timely completion and consolidation of monthly, weekly, and quarterly management accounts and financial plans.

This opportunity is well-suited for individuals who are in the early stages of their finance careers and aspire to progress further. While a specific accountancy qualification is not required, candidates should have a financial background and a degree in finance or a related field. Proficiency in managing complex spreadsheets and some reporting experience are essential.

Main

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will actively engage in reporting activities on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Your focus will be on providing comprehensive analysis and a deep understanding of key business issues.

You will also play a pivotal role in assisting with the consolidation and coordination of reporting through the Financial Planning & Analysis function within this area. The aim is to ensure consistency and enhance the value of the data. This includes activities such as aligning and consolidating Profit and Loss (P&L) data and conducting functional analyses. Furthermore, your responsibilities will involve a keen understanding of P&L Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

You'll be responsible for reporting on these KPIs on both a weekly and monthly basis. This will encompass aspects like Weekly Sales and the P&L package, covering actual figures, budgets, forecasts, and long-term plans. In addition, you will actively contribute to the planning of budgets and forecasts, adhering to established guidelines and Group cost structures. Your role will also involve compiling budgetary and fiscal data received from various departments to prepare revenue reports.

Collaboration will be a key aspect of your work, as you will work closely with the Consolidation Controller to standardize communication with other Business Partners, particularly those in Industrial and Commercial roles.

Lastly, you will play a vital part in cultivating and driving a culture of strong financial controls, compliance, and adherence to regulatory frameworks. Your efforts will help ensure that these essential financial principles are embraced and upheld within the organisation.

Who we are looking for:

In this role, you will be expected to bring experience in reporting and consolidating to the table, along with a finance degree to support your qualifications. Proficiency in advanced Excel, including hands-on experience with Power BI or Power Query would be desirable, in addition to HFM/Essbase Knowledge.

Your excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, will be put to good use, as will your ability to consistently meet tight deadlines. Your strong organisational abilities will be essential in managing tasks effectively, while your capacity for data analysis and impactful presentation skills will be highly valued. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to showcase your confidence when presenting to senior stakeholders.
