You will provide advice, guidance and support to a number of services across the council to ensure effective people management and alignment with the council's objectives and will assist the Service in the delivery of key areas of work which ensures the People Strategy effectively supports the strategic aims and objectives of the Council and supports the delivery of Council's services.

 

It is essential you have a Certificate in People Practice and/or HNC, SVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or experience in a People environment and you have experience of interrogating HR/payroll systems.

 

You must also be willing to work towards a professional People qualification.

 

The ability to analyse and present management information is essential as is effective organisational and time management skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

 

It is desirable that you have Affiliate Membership of Chartered Institute of Personnel Development, effective knowledge of Local Authority terms and conditions of service and experience of the Scottish Council's Job Evaluation Scheme.
