This position is within the Legal Department which is responsible for the Charity's legal services, Information Governance, Health Records and Procurement.

You will assist in the provision of a legal service providing a full range of effective administrative assistance to support the Legal team.

You will work collaboratively with all Legal team members to deliver excellent quality services across the full range of functions within the Charity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the legal team with the preparation and drafting of legal documents and legal research as required
  • Providing an accurate and appropriate administration service to support the Legal Director, Head of Legal and Head of Procurement.
  • Organising meetings, co-ordinating and managing electronic calendars, confirming attendance, organising venues and associated arrangements.
  • Providing administrative support to projects being managed by members of the Legal Department.
  • Supporting the Claims and Inquest Co-ordinator with insurance issues, claims and inquest preparation
  • Supporting the Disclosure Records Co-ordinator with responding to Data Subject Access Requests and provision of health records
  • Ensuring that communication with all internal and external contacts is effected in a professional, courteous and responsive manner. Dealing directly with routine queries and ensuring that messages/in-depth requests are dealt with effectively or passed to the appropriate staff member in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and security of data at all times, in accordance with St Andrew's Healthcare policies.
  • Working within the St Andrew's Healthcare policies and procedures at all times and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
  • To maintain awareness of current events and developments within the Charity.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties necessary to ensure the smooth running of the Department.
  • Managing shared inbox
  • Supporting the Information Governance Co-ordinator as required
  • Supporting the Paralegal in other appropriate tasks as instructed
