Project Manager - New Product

Location:  London

 

What we’re looking for 

The Project Manager will be responsible for scoping, planning and delivering, cross functional new product introduction projects.  Cross functional project delivery sits within the COO function of LR OneOcean. Depending on size and scale, it is expected this role would manage 1-5 NPI projects at a time, utilising resources from around the business to execute.

 

Products are the lifeblood of our business and this role will play a major role in professionalising how we manage these projects and positively impact the financial plan.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage the project plan.
  2. Monitor interdependencies and support the Sponsor in resolving cross workstream/programme issues.
  3. Facilitate overall Change Management (owned on behalf of Sponsor).
  4. Maintain and update the Programme RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) working with Workstream leads.
  5. Maintain and update Actions & Decision Log.
  6. Ensure the established governance cadence and discipline is maintained to ensure pace of planning and delivery.
  7. Produce consolidated programme status reporting for Sponsor.
  8. Support Sponsor for Board reporting.
  9. Maintain MS Teams site, access rights, templates, toolkit and reference data.

RECRUITMENT AND SKILL REQUIREMENT

  • Must haves
    • A track record of project delivery, spanning minimum 3-years.
    • Strong analytical and data storytelling skills.
    • Exemplary communications and stakeholder management skills with evidence of the ability to influence stakeholders with well-planned, concise narratives.
    • Great business fundamentals with an understanding of key business mechanics, e.g., revenue generation, budgeting and cost control.
    • Consulting Experience with a core understanding of the approach e.g., baseline/problem understanding, planning and execution.
    • Computer literate, with great skills in MS O365 (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, MS Teams).
    • Understanding of change management.
    • The ability to learn new industries quickly, with evidence.
    • Evidence of cross functional working and influencing without authority.
    • Strong reporting skills, able to use data and visuals to engage and enlighten the audience.
    • High standards and attention to detail.
    • Project management training across the lifecycle, ideally with certification.
    • Evidence of proactivity and ownership.
    • You can work autonomously.
  • Nice to haves  
    • Experience in post merger integration (PMI) management.
    • Software delivery or product management project experience.
    • Marine industry experience.
