Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream school located in Mansfield to work with a child on a one to one basis. This is a full-time position starting immediately initially through till October half term with a view for extension.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide dedicated support to the specific pupil, both in individual and group settings, to facilitate their learning and development.
  • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse needs of the pupil.
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where the pupil feel valued, supported, and encouraged to achieve their full potential.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and support strategies effectively.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, preferably within a school setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with pupils.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to support pupils' holistic development, including their social, emotional, and academic progress.

Pay Rates:

The daily rate of pay will vary depending on experience, ranging from 85 to 125.
