Manager Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and managerial guidance to team of software developers. 
  • Recruit and mentor staff to grow the teamâs capability and their individual talent.  
  • Review product requirements and feature requests, providing development effort estimates and risk assessments to senior management.
  • Influence architectural decisions, design/code reviews, test plans and technology strategy.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects to deliver committed features on time.
  • Foster an environment of continuous improvement in software engineering practices and product quality in terms of performance, scalability, availability and flexibility.
  • Work closely with other software development teams as well as product line management, quality assurance (QA), technical support and external contractors.

Key Competencies & Skills

  • Bachelorâs degree in electronics and communications engineering, computer engineering or computer science and 10 years of experience in a software development role, in the networking domain. 

  • Five years of experience in a technical leadership role and/or people management role.

Ideal candidate will also have the following skills:

  • Familiar with Linux development environment

  • Knowledge of network routers/switches and the networking industry

  • Experience in open-source software development

  • Familiarity with cloud native application development

  • Experience with distributed systems and Python based micro-services
