Your new company
You will be joining a leading supplier in Europe, with over 4,000 employees. This company is a prominent player in the industry, producing newsprint and corrugated base paper made from 100% recycled paper as well as corrugated, cardboard packaging. The UK site you will be based at is known for manufacturing graphic papers and is home to one of the widest, largest and most powerful newsprint machines in the world. This site also houses a recycling division responsible for supplying the required waste paper and carrying out collections and recycling services for the public sector and for commercial clients. Production, sales, logistics and finance for the UK site is all run from this location.
Your new role
As an IT Supervisor, you will provide local and remote group-wide IT support as part of an international team. You will be responsible for reactive ticket-based support for users and wider IT systems. You will also be involved in project works as part of a broader project team.
What you'll need to succeed
System administrator for Windows servers & desktops, MS Active Directory, VMWare, DNS/DHCP, networking hardware, fileservers
IT support applications, desktop support, Office 365, Citrix
Ability to actively monitor and fault find within a domain environment
Good knowledge of IT security principles (including firewall configuration, VPNs, and DNS management), Networking, TCPIP, Firewalls, Routing, Switch Management and Virtual LANs.
Knowledge of the configuration, setup and management of network devices, including routers, switchers and Wi-Fi devices.
Exposure to OT/industrial controls interfaces and hardware
Ability to work within multi-level support structure
Administration of Citrix
Specific knowledge of backup systems Veeam
