About the team

We are establishing a global cloud security engineering function that plays a crucial role in safeguarding Worldpayâs digital assets and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.

What you will be doing

As a Cloud Security Architect, you are a leading expert at securing cloud computing environments against cyber threats and ensuring compliance with various regulatory standards, frameworks, and patterns.

  • Create and maintain documents and diagrams on cloud security architecture, policies, standards, and patterns.
  • Provide technical vision and direction to enable engineering teams to implement effective cloud security tools and technology solutions.
  • Consult enterprise project implementations ensuring compliance and provide guidance to meet security architecture, policies, and standards.
  • Provide consumable security guidelines and knowledge to ensure security is embedded to cloud deployments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across security disciplines, architects, engineers to resolve and address solution weaknesses and issues.
  • Lead the assessment and measurement of the maturity cloud security capabilities by automation across all cloud platforms.
  • Advise technology teams on their cloud security risk posture and how to continuously improve their capability against cybersecurity threats.
  • Develop others through training, knowledge-sharing and technical experience.
  • Participate in incident response activities related to cloud security incidents as needed.
  • Stay abreast of new security technology, emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and security controls.

What you bring:

Bachelorâs degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

  • 1-2 years of professional experience in cloud security architecture or 2-3 years in a senior engineering role in public cloud providers AWS and Azure.
  • Deep knowledge of public cloud service providers and security protection domains including IAM, network, host, data, threat and vulnerability, and incident response.
  • Experience consulting others through security assessments, design review and providing solutions to increase cloud security posture through secure configuration baselines, compliance standards.
  • Broad understanding or direct experience with cloud security platforms such as CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CASB and CIEM.
  • Experience with evaluating, reviewing, and deploying cloud native security tools in AWS and Azure.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts, problem statements, recommendations and articulate the broader vision to influence others.
  • Proficiency in information security domains, including policies and standards, risk and control assessments, regulatory compliance, risk and control governance and metrics, and issue management.
  • Ability to function in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial agile environment.

Added bonus if you have:

  • CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, AWS, Azure or other relevant security or cloud certifications.
  • Working experience of architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA, Zachman
  • Experience architecting cloud security solutions during migrations, new or transforming existing deployments.
