Applications are invited for a Project manager, to work as part of our team the Clinical informatics and Health Outcomes Research Group (ORCHID ::: Oxford-RCGP RSC). The successful applicant should have a keen interest to work with large primary care datasets (>19 million contemporary population), linked to other data including hospitalisation. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with experience in project management involving data management, health data science, medical statistics, epidemiology, or a related discipline. We would also welcome applications from people with advanced data science, epidemiological or statistical skills who would like to work with large real world health datasets.
The role will include planning, preparation, execution, and reporting of the portfolio of the Clinical Informatics and Health Outcomes research group projects to ensure that trial, observational study and other informatics research project data is acquired effectively and efficiently; and where necessary developing appropriate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The post is responsible for supporting the group research outcomes carried out.
The post holder will report directly to the Research Group lead and the Senior Project Manager, and will support other research activity in accordance with specified research project(s) under the supervision of the principal investigator. The post holder will have a very diverse network of contacts that will be from all academic and professional levels within the organisation. In particular, the post will work closely with other administrative staff, academic staff, research services staff, and external organisations including project partners.
You will be based at Eagle House, 7 Walton Well Road, Oxford, OX2 6ED as your normal place of work but there may be the opportunity for occasional remote working.
The position is funded by a portfolio of research projects and available for one year in the first instance.
