About the role:

As a Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher, you will be responsible for delivering dynamic and interactive lessons that inspire students to develop their language skills and cultural awareness. You will be expected to create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes communication and collaboration among students, encouraging them to engage with the language in meaningful ways. Additionally, you will be guiding students through various linguistic concepts, ensuring they build confidence in their speaking, listening, reading, and writing abilities.

Key Responsibilities:


• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) lessons to students across various year groups.
• Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their language acquisition and cultural understanding.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters communication, collaboration, and a passion for learning new languages.
• Contribute to the wider school community by participating in pastoral care, extracurricular activities, and school events related to MFL.
• Stay up to date with the MFL curriculum and utilize a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs.

Requirements:


• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
• Experience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at the secondary level is highly desirable.
• A strong commitment to student achievement and personal development.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students in their exploration of languages and cultures.
