Our longstanding client is looking for a senior commercial property solicitor to join a small team within a large, national practice.

There is flexibility regarding location and the successful candidate can be based in either their City of London or Hertfordshire office. 

Hybrid working is also offered should it be required; this would mean three days in the office and two at home. However, travel to both offices mentioned above will be required.

There is also the possibility of part-time with this position, although this would need to be a minimum of 4 days a week.

The role:

  • Managing a broad and varied real estate and real estate finance caseload; liaising with team members and co-ordinating advice from other practice areas and departments within the firm
  • Drafting and negotiating a wide range of transaction documents, including purchase and sale contracts, option agreements, commercial leases, agreements for lease and other occupational documentation
  • Carrying out due diligence

NB whilst real estate finance work makes up a small part, this is predominantly an out and out commercial property role.

The candidate:

  • Minimum of 8 years' PQE in commercial property, ideally with some experience of commercial property finance
  • Experience of working with developers, borrowers, lenders, investors, landlords and tenants
  • Strong drafting competencies and an ability to communicate clearly with colleagues and clients
  • Commercial property experience gained in a top 120 firm

The package includes:

  • Salary c£93 to c£110K, depending on experience (prorated if part-time)
  • Bonus and commission structures in place
  • Private healthcare (following qualifying period)
  • Mobile phone and home set up equipment (if required)

This is an amazing opportunity for a senior commercial property solicitor looking for a flexible and collegiate environment, with high quality work on offer.

It's rare to find a position at this level that doesn't require any sort of client following; there is a lot of work available for whoever comes in.

They're not looking for a clock watcher or someone who wants to take their foot off the gas; the successful applicant will need to be dynamic and on the ball. However, the flexibility on offer makes this a very attractive option for someone who doesn't necessarily enjoy the full on nature of a City practice, but who also doesn't want to compromise on quality of work.
