Executive Chef - Dunluce Lodge - Manchester

Valor Hospitality Partners are recruiting a dynamic and experienced Executive Chef for what will be the most exciting opening Northern Ireland has seen in the last 5 years.

Dunluce Lodge will boasts stunning views overlooking the fourth fairway of the Royal Portrush Golf Course and offer 35 suites as well as a relaxing spa and amazing food and beverage facilities, all designed to offer an unforgettable experience for our guests.

The successful Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations, Showcasing the finest seasonal produce from local suppliers via our a la carte, tasting menus and sharing platters, which will be enjoyed in our restaurant, private dining spaces, wine vaults or weather permitting al fresco over looking the golf course and coast beyond.

As the Executive Chef, you will be the face of the brigade and a key part of the hotels management team, ensuring that every guest interaction is seamless and exceptional. You will ensure that our guests needs are catered for and every visit filled with new and exciting experiences.

Community knowledge is key, you will be sourcing local suppliers and building long lasting relationships with them in order to showcasing their fantastic produce on your ever changing menus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and motivate a brigade of chefs, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure that all operations comply with health and safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork, creativity, and innovation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including guests, suppliers, local businesses, and the community.
  • Oversee the departments financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting and influence the hotels performance.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • At least 8 years of experience in hotel management
    • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team
    • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
    • Excellent financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
    • Proven track record of achieving revenue and profit targets, while maintaining high levels of guest satisfaction
    • Knowledge of working to Rosetted standards
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including health and safety, food and beverage, and environmental sustainability
    • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Proficiency in hotel management software and Microsoft Office Suite
