We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Purchase Ledger & Finance Assistant to join our client's finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop key financial skills within a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Role
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the finance department. Initially focusing on purchase ledger invoice processing, the role will expand to provide financial administration support to other team members.
Key

Responsibilities:
Processing purchase invoices onto the Dynamics D365 systemResolving discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiptsMaintaining accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions related to purchasesCollaborating with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with company policies and proceduresCollating details of credit card expenditure and reconciling to receiptsBanking and recording any cheques receivedSupporting the finance team with ad-hoc tasks and projects as requiredContributing to process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within the finance department Experience & Skills Required: Previous experience in a similar finance role (full training will be provided)Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelExcellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entryEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and as part of a team Benefits: Competitive salary of £24,000 per annum25 days holiday plus Bank HolidaysOnsite parkingCompany pensionLife insurance
