I am working in tandem with a local civils contractor who specialise in the design and installation of concrete and steel frame tanks.

Their expertise in delivering high-quality projects has earned them a place on several frameworks for a national water company, positioning them to becoming market leaders in their niche.

Due to the organic growth of the company and continuous emphasis on delivering quality products for highbrow clients, they are looking to recruit an experienced Design Manager who has a civils background.

As a Design Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating the design process and acting as a bridge between the engineers and external design consultants, ensuring that all designs meet project specifications and standards.

The ideal candidate must have

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the civils industry, with a focus on concrete and steel structures
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong understanding of design processes and construction methodologies for concrete and steel structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
  • Familiarity with water infrastructure projects and industry standards is highly desirable.
