The role
Reporting to the Head of People Operations and Development you will provide comprehensive administrative support for a dedicated sector that contributes to the delivery of high-quality People processes in line with our Build Sure commitments and values.
- Coordinate onboarding processes, including new employee orientation, training schedules, and paperwork completion.
- Maintain and update employee records in Dayforce in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of employee data in HRIS systems.
- Support the implementation and communication of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure employees understand and comply with company policies.
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure accurate and timely submission.
- Address employee queries and provide support on HR-related issues.
- Assist in resolving employee concerns and escalate issues when necessary.
- Support HR initiatives aimed at improving employee engagement.
- Assist with the preparation of HR reports,presentations, and correspondence.
- Perform other administrative tasks as required to support the HR department
Your profile
Essential
- Experience of providing administrative support, preferably within a professional HR shared service environment.
- Experience of preparing and delivering standard documentation
- Experience of using a variety of systems and databases including accurate keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of MS Office
- Experience of Excel (with the ability to use formulas)
- Experience with HRIS software
- Experience of prioritising, planning and delivering own workload to tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Knowledge of HR practices and employment law.
Desired
- CIPD / CIPP qualification or working towards
- Previous experience of working within the construction sector
