WHO ARE THEY

Our client are within the Oil & Gas industry, located in the beautiful coastal area of Pembrokeshire, and are currently seeking a Electrical Engineer to join their Technical Services Department.

DUTIES

  • Approve Engineering designs and provide specialist support for the Electrical elements within all projects.
  • Working knowledge of Industry standards associated with the Electrical discipline.
  • Develop ideas into projects and produce BOD (basis of design) work scopes.
  • Attend external organisation meetings EEMUA, Energy Institute and IET and feedback any changes in legislation.
  • Actively engage WITH SMEs and peers across the industry and the company network
  • Ensure the safety and reliability of the electrical distribution network for the refinery.
  • Maintain condition reviews for all Electrical infrastructure and equipment on site, interpret the data and produce ranking for input into the CAPEX replacement plan.
  • Manipulate Electrical Infrastructure Modelling software.
  • Provide specialist Electrical support to the refinery operations, maintenance and improvement teams when required.


ABOUT YOU

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
  • BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Have or be working towards incorporated or chartered engineer status with a relevant engineering institution.
  • Experience working with voltages up to 132kv.
  • Previous experience of working in an Electrical Engineering or Project Engineering role would be advantageous.
  • Good organisational and communication skills working with and leading multi-functional teams both inside and outside of the refinery.
  • Proficient in the MS suite of software and familiar with SAP functionality within the job role i.e purchase requisitions, SAP new equipment master management etc.
