The First Contact Team is at the forefront of engaging with the residents of Staffordshire. We carry out strengths-based, outcome-focused assessments via telephone and virtual technology. Our service also provides a single point of access for all age carers, offering information, advice, and guidance.

Main Responsibilities

As a Team Manager, you will:

  • Provide day-to-day line management, professional, and operational leadership to Senior Social Workers, Social Workers, and non-registered social care staff.
  • Lead quality practice and performance, supporting your team to understand, contribute to, and effect change.
  • Act as a crucial link between your team and Service Leads across adult social care.
  • Direct your team in delivering assessments, reviews, support planning, and case management.
The Ideal Candidate

You will have:

  • A professional Social Work qualification (Dip SW, CQSW, CSS).
  • Registration with Social Work England (SWE).
  • Successful completion of or willingness to undertake training, including BIA, Practice Educator, or Approved Mental Health Practitioner.
  • A management qualification or relevant experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with staff and a diverse customer base, including the ability to engage with learning disabled and/or autistic adults and their carers.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • The ability to support staff in high-quality, timely assessments, planning, monitoring, and review of individual cases, utilising the Just enough support ethos.
  • Sound judgment skills in providing solutions on complex casework, appraising and responding to risk.

If you're ready to take on this rewarding challenge, apply now and be a part of our mission to support and empower the community of Staffordshire

Interviews will be held on the 3rd October 2024.

Don't feel you meet all the requirements? We value transferable skills, experiences, and qualifications so consider applying anyway or for an informal chat about the role please contact Tammy Drinkwater Service Manager at:  tammy.drinkwater@staffordshire.gov.uk
