Role Overview

My clients is a leading engineering and manufacturing firm based in Wolverhampton, specialising in the aerospace/ defence sector. They are currently seeking an assembly technician with experience as a fitter/tester to join the global sustentation team. The role involves assembling complex mechanical products and diagnosing hardware devices or equipment to ensure their proper functioning.

Key Responsibilities Assembly Technician

  • Identifying faults in components controlling various systems such as flight control, landing, and engine systems.
  • Build and repair hydraulic products to meet quality standards.
  • Assembling components according to engineering drawings.
  • Inspect component parts using measuring equipment like Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, and Height Gauges.

Qualifications & Requirements Assembly Technician

  • Previous experience in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Understanding of assembly or testing processes in manufacturing.
  • Experience in a repair- oriented industry environment.
  • Demonstrates versatility and fosters a positive atmosphere.
