Meraki Talent are currently looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for one of our clients based in Glasgow.

Position Overview: As a Purchase Ledger Clerk, you will play a key role in managing the company's financial transactions by accurately recording and processing accounts payable. This position requires a meticulous individual who can ensure the timely and accurate payment of invoices, maintain vendor relationships, and contribute to the overall efficiency of our finance department.

Responsibilities:

Process and code invoices, ensuring accurate allocation to the appropriate accounts.Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.Collaborate with internal departments to obtain necessary approvals for invoices.Prepare and process payment runs in accordance with payment terms.Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues.Assist in month-end closing activities and provide support for audits.Contribute to the improvement of purchase ledger processes and procedures.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role.Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and regulations.
