You often hear adverts say “an exciting and unique opportunity” but ours truly is  Your commute will be short if you work on the Isles of Scilly in a traditional GP role.  Our branch surgery clinics involves hopping on the purpose-built medical launch to a different island  Still interested?  We have a full time salaried GP post available.  

We can offer you:-

The best sea views  Housing secured on St Marys  Registered patient list of less than a 1000 patients for a full time GP 12 appointments per routine clinical session Support from an incredible practice team Specialist clinics e.g. level 2 sexual health services Working in a friendly and supportive culture Traditional general practice with personalised care for patients. Cover for patients within the community hospital and out of hours A real multidisciplinary approach to primary care Branch surgeries on each of the inhabited islands via motor launch service. Competitive salary, contribution towards accommodation costs and indemnity paid

The ideal candidate will be resilient, flexible, and keen to embrace “traditional” and vocational style of general practice – where servicing a small community provides the opportunity for the GP to really understand and meet each patient’s needs. 

Urgent care / out of hours experience is desirable. Other desirable skills to include: experience of rural medicine, ability to perform minor ops and GP registrar supervision (military GP registrars have a 3-month placement with us).
