IT Technician - Heartwood Collection

IT Technician: 1st Line Support:

We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented 1st Line Support Technician to join our IT team. As a 1st Line Support Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users, troubleshooting software and hardware issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems. If you have a passion for technology and enjoy helping others, this could be the job for you.

This is a part-time position, with flexibility available to complete 20 hours working hours over the working week, to suit both parties, which can be discussed in the interview. The role could suit someone based either near our Head office in Teddington or based near Histon, Cambridgeshire.

IT Technician: The Role

Respond to help desk tickets and provide timely technical support to the sites Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issuesInstall, configure, and maintain operating systems and software applicationsAssist with user account managementCollaborate with other IT team members to troubleshoot complex problemsProvide excellent customer service by effectively communicating technical solutions to non-technical usersDocument all support activities and resolutions in the ticketing systemPerform routine maintenance tasks such as system updates and backupsAssist with computer networking tasks, including troubleshooting connectivity issuesAnalyze computer hardware problems and recommend appropriate solutionsAssist in EPOS (and related) system(s) configuration and maintenance

IT Technician: The Ideal Candidate:

Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS etc)Knowledge of Google Workspace is an advantageBasic understanding of computer networking conceptsExcellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse issues and provide effective solutionsStrong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical usersAbility to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
