Position Overview: We are currently seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Humanities Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to students with SEN, ensuring an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN.
- Assist with creating and implementing Individualised access plans for students with diverse learning requirements.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active participation and academic success.
- Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure effective communication and a holistic approach to student development.
- Utilise a variety of teaching strategies and resources to meet the diverse needs of students with SEN.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to both students and parents.
Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Specialism in Humanities or a relevant subject.
- Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs.
- Knowledge of different learning styles and effective teaching strategies for students with SEN.
Skills and Attributes:
- Compassionate and patient approach towards students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to cater to individual student needs.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Commitment to promoting an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
