On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Laboratory Specialist on an initial 8-month contract. As Laboratory Specialist you will support the operational business areas through a combination of destructive and non-destructive testing methods as well as chemical analysis to ensure conforming product throughout all stages of the build cycle

Role: Laboratory Specialist
Pay: 34.83 per hour Via Umbrella + 20% Shift allowance
Location: Broughton
Contract: Monday - Friday, Double day shift pattern, One week of morning (6:00am - 1:10pm) One week of afternoons (1:30pm - 8:40pm) 8 Months contract
IR35 Status: Inside
Security Clearance: BPSS

Responsibilities

  • Carry out mechanical testing methods (tensile, fatigue, sheer ).
  • Perform material testing and special incoming testing's (hardness, electrical conductivity, spectroscopy, and peeling).
  • Support failure analysis in case of customer irritations.
  • Support external laboratories qualification and observation.
  • Perform chemical analysis (XRF, ICP, IC, FTIR ).


Essential & Desirable Skills:

  • You will have experience of materials and chemical analysis in an industry where process, safety & governance is highly scrutinised.
  • Lab experience would be essential
  • Mechanical testing background experience would be desirable.
  • Degree educated with a background in engineering would be preferred
