The Position: Nursery Cook - Part time, term time only

We are looking for a caring, passionate person who can prepare home-cooked meals for our children aged 6 months to 4 years. You will provide delicious, balanced meals, following our three-week rolling menu.

What skills are we looking for:

  • To have an understanding of healthy foods for all children, including portion control and a commitment to serving foods that are seasonal, healthy and wholesome.
  • Experience of working in catering, as a cook and /or in the preparation of food.
  • Knowledge of food hygiene practices including preparation and storage of food.

Responsibilities for the role:

  • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness in the kitchen.
  • To be responsible for preparation of weekly menus catering for all children's dietary requirements.
  • To maintain such records and under administrative duties as determined by the college and the food standards agency.

The Location: The site is based at our Wigston Nursery. This a term time only position working 20hrs per week, Term Time Only
