The newly formed North Yorkshire Council is now on a journey of consolidation, change and evolution. Our Transformation Service is leading the council through these changes, so itâs a very exciting time to get involved.  To support this change agenda, we are recruiting a Business Analyst (Level 2) to join our Business Analyst team.

In this role you will: 

Work with a wide range of stakeholders across the Council to identify opportunities for change.  Develop and present cases for change.  Manage and undertake a range of analysis activities to further define opportunities, benefits, and action plans.  Understand and represent the customer interests, requirements and perspectives throughout analysis work and project lifecycles.  Review the impact and success of initiatives, to assess and quantify the extent to which benefits have been realised.  Be part of a dedicated Business Analysis team, who are committed to delivering positive change through professional development. 

Essential Experience 

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  Minimum of 2 years in-depth experience of undertaking business analysis in large and/or complex organisations. Successful application of analysis tools and techniques on significant projects, with significant benefits (e.g. savings > £100k) Managing and developing people.

Essential Qualifications 

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.  Evidence of on-going commitment to CPD  Analysis & improvement: e.g. BCS business analysis diploma (or higher), Lean, Six-Sigma Green Belt (or higher), or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Work Location

We have offices across the whole of the North Yorkshire county including Northallerton, Harrogate, Scarborough, and Selby. Working in a hybrid working manner, your base work location can be a hub office most local to you.  You would typically attend that office at least 2 days per week to focus on our work and service planning in a team environment, interacting with customers, as well as personal development, and supportive supervision and coaching of others. Typically the rest of the week you could work remotely which can include working from other offices and/or working from home depending on business needs and where it is most effective to work from.  Some travel to key locality offices such as Northallerton may be required based on business needs.
