Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior PLC Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role encompasses the full project design lifecycle spanning diverse industry sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in PLC programming, with advanced proficiency in SCADA and HMI applications, and a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering complex projects to exacting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior PLC Engineer at Applied Integration UK Ltd, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Design and Development: Designing and developing PLC-based control systems to meet project requirements and specifications.
  • Programming and Configuration: Programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, and HMI systems to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • System Integration: Conducting system integration activities, ensuring compatibility and efficiency across various industrial applications.
  • Commissioning: Undertaking on-site commissioning of control systems, ensuring proper functionality and performance in real-world environments.
  • Technical Support: Providing technical support throughout the project lifecycle, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to ensure project success.
  • Documentation: Generating technical documentation, including design specifications, user manuals, and system documentation for reference and future maintenance.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety guidelines throughout the development and implementation phases.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, project managers, and clients, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Continuous Improvement: Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to processes, methodologies, and technologies to optimize project outcomes.
  • Training and Mentorship: Providing training and mentorship to junior engineers, supporting their professional development and ensuring knowledge transfer within the team.

These responsibilities require strong technical expertise in PLC programming, SCADA systems, and industrial automation, combined with effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a PLC Engineer, with a minimum of 4 years in a similar role.
  • Expertise in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic and structured text.
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) and HMI (Human-Machine Interface) applications.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus).
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Possession of a full driving license and willingness to travel as required.
