Weâre looking for a Lead Product Designer to join our super talented Gaming Product Design team.
Our Product Designers and UX Researchers are responsible for defining and designing all of Sky Vegasâ digital products, as well as Sky Bingo, Sky Casino and Sky Poker. We are open and collaborative in our methods, innovative and proactive in our work, and inclusive and supportive as a team.

In this role, here's an overview of the thing's you'll be getting up to:
Youâll manage and inspire a team of Designers & Researchers and work collaboratively with the business to help shape the overall Design & UX strategy, whilst placing the user at the heart of your approach.
Reporting to the Head of Product Design & UX you will become a member of the wider Product Design leadership team, help shape our ways of working and communities of practice, and primarily oversee the Discovery and Definition stages of our process.
Having previous leadership experience in the digital industry, youâll have developed expert UX and UI skills and a rich diversity of experience to call upon, including the management and mentoring of others. Youâll have a natural passion for all things Product Design and UX Research, and a desire to create the most engaging and optimal user experiences for our customers.
How you'll do it
Leading and inspiring others - As a People Manager, youâll manage and mentor a team of Product Designers and UX Researchers, supporting their personal development and inspiring them every day through your expertise, creative thinking and natural leadership style.
User first thinking - You will have vast experience in designing solutions and digital experiences that put the user first. By utilising various UX Research methodologies and practices you and your team will be champions of the customer, ensuring their behaviours and needs are met throughout the 4 D process. A knowledge of user testing tools such as Userzoom would be advantageous.
Research and creative direction - You will play a key role in leading the research work that we conduct within Product Design, whilst setting the overall standards of our design work to ensure that Sky Vegas and our other products are best in class. By doing so, you will enhance both the research understanding and design expertise of the team.
Collaborative working - You and your team will work closely with multi-disciplined partners and squads across the Gaming tribe including Product, Engineering, Brand and Marketing to build a shared understanding of the problem space. Through cross-team collaboration and strong relationships with your peers, you will provide the thought leadership needed to develop the right product strategy that will keep our users coming back again and again.
Gaming expertise - Experience of, and passion for, online gaming would be advantageous to contribute to and shape new in-product game ideas and types, such as Prize Machine, which is a key component of our primary user journeys.
Resource planning - You will work closely with Product Owners and your Lead Product Designer counterpart to ensure projects are effectively resourced and delivered by the team in line with business objectives. Â
