Job Purpose

To carry out day to day cleaning duties of designated areas as defined by the Cleaning Supervisor ensuring that the necessary standards are met and operating in line with School Policies and Procedures.

Key Result Areas

Carry out routine and non-routine (if applicable) cleaning duties in accordance with the cleaning specification and required standards.

Correct daily – signing in & out procedure.

Comply at all times with Health & Safety regulations and abide by the Health & Safety training provided.

Maintain high levels of customer service.

Ensure the correct PPE is worn at all times whilst on duty. Demonstrate school values at all times.

To report any defects in the facilities structure or equipment to the management

To undergo training and ensure cleaning staff are trained appropriately in cleaning methods and in the use of cleaning appliances.

To work as part of the team, cleaning walls, floors, (internal) windows and toilets in all areas of the facility to a high standard, as laid down in the cleaning schedule

To observe all regulations related to COSHH and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1978

To undertake any other duties and/or times of work as may be reasonably required of you, that commensurate with your grade or general level of responsibility within the organisation, at your place of work

Responsibilities:

Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.

Be aware of and support differences and ensure equal opportunities for all.

Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school.
