We are looking for an organized, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and disciplined Laboratory Technician (Chemistry) to work with our dynamic Chemistry team with employees across the world. What youâll do

  • Work closely with Chemists, Materials Scientists, Engineers, and Biologists to support activities including chemical analysis, device fabrication, and applications testing
  • Perform both routine and one-off laboratory testing such as Raman Spectroscopy, SEC-HPLC, LC-MS, FT-IR and dry weight
  • Perform a variety of technical support functions across the chemistry department, e. g. helping with the preparation of reagents and setting up of reactions
  • Take detailed lab notes, documenting and reporting test results
  • Supporting good housekeeping practices and adhering to Laboratory Health and Safety standards
  • Order, restock and maintain inventory of chemicals and consumables and arrange deliveries between sites
  • Document and arrange safe disposal of all laboratory waste
  • Ability to communicate effectively and deliver accurate lab results

Who you are

  • Either Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline - ideally Chemistry, with a minimum of 3 months laboratory experience, or Science A-levels, including Chemistry (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years laboratory experience
  • Experience or good working knowledge of chemical analysis techniques such SEC-HPLC, LC-MS or Raman Spectroscopy is desirable
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing project priorities
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Teamworking ability, attention to detail and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, able to multi-task efficiently
