    Job context

    Stantonbury School is a large secondary school in Milton Keynes with approx 1600 pupils and 200 staff. The cover supervisor team provides temporary cover for teachers and members of staff who are absent. The Cover Manager will organise and lead the team of cover supervisors and agency staff so that short term teacher absence can be managed in order to minimise disruption to education.

    Key responsibilities

    ●        Liaise with senior leaders to plan cover for absent teachers in the short, medium and long term by redeploying existing teachers or sourcing external supply taking into account any plans for school events that might generate cover requirements.

    ●        On a daily basis organise the cover team, Stantonbury teaching staff and any external supply staff so that all lessons are covered.

    ●        Line manages the Cover Supervisor team.

    ●        Be the point of contact for absent staff and provide administrative support for the HR office

    This is a term time role - 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (7.30am-3.30pm)
