Hourly Rate: £18-£19

Job Type: Full-time - 39 hours per week plus guaranteed 7 hours overtime included in above hours

Hours: Monday to Friday 7:30am to 5:30pm

About Us: City Calling currently seeking an experienced and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver with a Hiab Operator Licence to join our team.

Job Description: As a Class 1 HGV Driver with a Hiab licence and NPORS or CPCS Loader Securer qualification you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods using our fleet of vehicles. Your role will involve operating the Hiab crane to load and unload materials, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading, unloading and transporting Construction plant equipment and site accommodation
  • Loading and securing each load in compliance with the required regulation.
  • Carrying out and completing delivery and collection checks on each load ensuring all aspects of the load are captured.
  • Daily vehicle checks and inspections on the allocated vehicle reporting any defects to the transport manager immediately ensuring constant compliance in line with regulations and company standards.
  • Upkeep, light maintenance and housekeeping of your allocated vehicle, and supporting the team when not out delivering with other duties as and when requested.

Requirements:

  • A Clean Class 1 licence
  • Hiab License ALLMI
  • Candidates will ideally have experience in abnormal loads, loading, securing and transporting of plant equipment
  • NPORS or CPCS Loader Secure advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Good initiative.
  • Good time management.
  • Good organisational skills.
