We are looking for an experienced and outstanding teacher to join our Academy as Head of MFL. We are looking for a teacher who can inspire our students to learn with enthusiasm and to enjoy the experiences a school can bring.

As the Head of MFL, you will play a pivotal role in developing and leading the MFL curriculum within our academy. Working collaboratively with your direct team, SLT and the Trust, you will use your leadership skills to deliver creative and vibrant lessons which inspire and motivate all students to excel. This post will give you the opportunity to shape the future of MFL at Thornhill Community Academy, driving innovation and fostering a culture of excellence.

The ideal candidate will:

Be educated to degree level with QTS in their subject;Have successful experience in teaching French and Spanish at GCSEHave experience of implementing departmental school strategiesBe an effective classroom practitioner with a proven track record of inspiring and motivating studentsBe able to plan for success and evaluate progress and outcomesBe able to coach, inspire and enthuse students effectivelyBe committed to our ethos that all students can achieve at Thornhill Community AcademyHave great references demonstrating they are a suitable candidate, safe to work with children.
