Pinnacle Group are seeking an experienced Caretaker to maintain excellent standards within our communities. You will be joining our Facilities Management team based in Abbey Park School, Redhouse Way, Swindon, SN25 2ND. Whilst having a hands-on approach you will be responsible for leading maintenance and managing the contract cleaning team delivering a safe compliant service. This is a full time permanent position working 3:30PM - 11PM, Monday - Friday.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone who, alongside the key criteria below, will sign up to our values of Trust, Respect, Involve, Challenge and Deliver Excellence and will be determined to maintain the confidence of our clients and communities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Effective management of the contract cleaning team, monitoring progress against individual objectives and providing guidance and direction to staff where needed.
  • Carry out minor repairs and decoration works, including plumbing, carpentry and electrical.
  • Deep / Scheduled / Reactive Cleaning (when required) using cleaning materials and consumables as directed ensuring usage instructions are followed accordingly.
  • Carry out investigations into reactive requests relating to deficiencies in accomodation and where necessary notifying management of the need to call a Service Provider.
  • To ensure all staff understand the correct use of cleaning materials and are instructed in the safe use of all substances and manage to COSHH regulation.

Key requirements:

  • Experience of leading a team within a cleaning services environment
  • Good knowledge and experience of maintenance and repairs
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures.

Please Note: For this role, confirmation of appointment will be subject to completion of a satisfactory Basic DBS check.
