Progress Tutor

The post of Apprenticeship Progress Tutor is key to supporting the college’s apprentices during their time on the programme to maximise their success and achievement.

The role will involve working closely with the college’s apprentices to support their personal development, attendance, and progress through maintaining completing regular 1:1s with a caseload of apprentices.

You will support the design and delivery of key information related to personal development and safeguarding and will be responsible for taking a holistic view of learner attendance and progress.

You will work with assessors to ensure students have challenging targets to work towards that are linked to personal development and academic achievement and ensure these are reviewed in a timely manner and that learners are making the required progress to meet or exceed these targets.

Working with the Careers Co-ordinator, you will provide information, advice and guidance to learners on their career development and progression. You will also liaise closely with Student Engagement Officers to promote the welfare of apprentices and will employ a range of strategies to support apprentice retention and achievement across the college through liaison with employers, guardians and external agencies.
