DN Colleges are recruiting a proactive Fire Safety and Health & Safety Compliance Officer to lead fire safety, emergency precautions, and statutory compliance across our College Group. This role supports the Head of Health and Safety in daily operations, including inspections, audits, incident response, risk assessments, and training.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise on fire safety and health and safety matters.
  • Conduct fire safety and health and safety inspections and audits.
  • Develop and maintain evacuation procedures.
  • Perform fire risk and DSEAR assessments.
  • Conduct environmental monitoring (noise, light levels, etc.).
  • Participate in first aid and incident response teams.
  • Support business continuity and contractor management.
  • Develop and deliver health and safety training for students and staff.
  • Analyse data for reports and identify preventative measures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in fire safety and health & safety management.
  • Knowledge of statutory compliance and risk assessment.
  • Strong communication and training skills.
  • Ability to analyse data for reporting and trend analysis.
  • GCSE Maths & English, ICT Level 2
  • NEBOSH Fire Safety & Risk Management Certificate
