Role: Solar Maintenance Engineer

Day Rate (Perm):up to £18ph DOE

We are currently recruiting a Solar Maintenance Engineer to work across a range of sites throughout the UK.

• This is a hybrid role where the main focus is Solar PV Maintenance and remedials with a mix of some installation work when required.
• To conduct reactive and scheduled preventative maintenance visits. This will involve system testing and fault diagnosis relating to the design, installation, and communication of Domestic and Commercial Solar PV systems.
• To perform remedial works on PV Systems such as component swaps, replacement inverters and finding & repairing string faults.
• A typical working week will be 40 hours field based.

The Ideal Solar Maintenance Engineer:

• Proven Technical Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in domestic and small commercial Solar PV installations, including generation and export metering, inverters, fault diagnosis, and ensuring systems perform according to design specifications.
• Qualified Electrician: Certified to ECS standards, having successfully completed a Level 3 Apprenticeship and NVQ.
• Experience with Heights: Competent in working at heights, with experience using Mobile Elevated Working Platforms.
• ECS Certification: Currently holds an ECS Electrician craft card.
• 18th Edition Certification: Possesses the City and Guilds th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations.
• Solar PV Qualification: Holds a BPEC Solar PV Qualification or an equivalent certification.
• Additional Training: PASMA/IPAF training is desirable.
