Music is a warm and supportive department, within the Performing Arts Faculty, which also encompasses Drama and Dance. The Music Department has a great track record of academic results, and co-curricular opportunities. Our pastoral teams are also excellent, supporting students to be happy and high achieving, and to dare to be remarkable, in line with our school vision.

We can boast wonderful students with a thirst for learning and a desire to embrace the wider opportunities available to them at school. We achieve exceptional academic results each year. This year we ranked 7th in The Times’ best secondary and grammar schools in the southeast. Our staff are collaborative and support each other to be their best; it is difficult to say whether the best thing about working here is the students or the staff

This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher.

The successful candidate will:

Be a graduate with qualified teacher status;Combine resilience and determination with an ability to inspire, innovate and motivate students;Have the ability to teach at a ‘good’ or better level consistently.
