We are currently recruiting for a Chef to join our team at Cardinal Newman College, Preston, PR1 4HD

  • Full time - 40 hours per week
  • Term time only - Monday - Friday, between 7am - 3.30pm

What you'll be doing

  • Deliver breakfast and lunch to the client in a clean, tidy and pleasant manner.
  • Preparing food orders to company spec
  • To complete monthly stocktakes
  • Placing food orders and handling / putting away deliveries
  • Deep cleans of the kitchen
  • Supporting hospitality delivery 
  • Follow all food safety and health and safety regulations
  • Tracking wastage
  • Produce and cook food in line with recipe cards.
  • Work in line with company allergen policy
  • Maintenance of food levels throughout all service periods
  • Assisting in the compilation of all shifts opening and closing checklists


Experience/Qualifications

  • Relevant culinary qualification is desirable or at least 2 year's experience in a similar position
  • Experience working in a high volume environment
  • Allergen awareness (i.e Natasha's Law), full training will be given
  • Excellent team player and communicator
  • DBS check required
