As an In-House Senior Data Scientist, you will play a crucial role in leveraging data analytics and machine learning techniques to drive informed decision-making within the financial operations of AtkinsRéalis. You will collaborate with financial analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to extract valuable insights from financial data, enabling the company to optimize financial processes and achieve strategic goals.

Location: Montréal, QC.

Your role within the Team:

Data Analysis and Modeling:

Utilize statistical and machine learning techniques to analyze large datasets related to financial performance, cost estimation, and budget forecasting.Develop predictive models to identify patterns, trends, and potential risks in financial data.

Data Visualization:

Create clear and concise data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate complex financial insights to stakeholders.Use tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms, to present data in an accessible and meaningful way.

Process Optimization:

Identify opportunities for process improvement within the financial department through data-driven insights.Work closely with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce financial risks.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with financial analysts, project managers, and other departments to understand data needs and provide analytical support.Clearly communicate findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders.

Data Governance and Compliance:

Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.Develop and implement data governance policies within the financial department.

Qualifications for the Position:

Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field or equivalent experience.Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on financial analytics.Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, and SQL.Knowledge in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data visualization.Experience working with financial datasets and knowledge of accounting principles.Proficiency in using data visualization tools such as Power BI.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Knowledge in Azure Machine Learning.
