ACS International Schools are recruiting a Science Teacher to join the Upper School team at ACS Egham International School.

We’ve been teaching the IB at ACS for over fifty years, and our experience means we know how best to teach it. We know it gets results - and that’s why we offer the IB as our sole offering, orienting the entire school around its optimal delivery. Many of our teachers are IB examiners, meaning they know exactly how to help children to excel.
We are recruiting a Science Teacher with a passion for inspiring students through a concept based, inquiry driven and student focused approach.
Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
Educated to Bachelors degree or international equivalent as a minimum in the relevant subjectA teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent)Physics or Chemistry experience is preferredStrong IT skills, preferably with Apple productsSignificant experience and willingness to integrate technology to improve teaching and learningDemonstrable positive and tolerant outlook, enthusiasm for teaching and good understanding of behaviours of the relevant age groupFluent in both verbal and written EnglishBenefits of teaching at ACS:
Recognising that time is needed to plan, collaborate and provide meaningful feedback to students, teachers at ACS teach a maximum 21 hours per weekOur maximum class size is a manageable maximum of 22 with most classes being smaller than that. We are a well-resourced school, enabling us to provide our students and teachers with the resources they need to learn and achieveWe take the professional development of our staff seriously and provide ample opportunities and resourcing to support this.Start date: August 2024
This is initially a one year contract with the potential for extension.
